Last November 14, the Choose Philippines team were invited to the ceremonial tree lighting ceremony of The Manor at Camp John Hay.

The event kicked off with opening remarks by Mr. Alfredo Yñiguez, CJH Development Corporation’s Executive Vice President followed by an introduction of the Fashion Arts Autism Benefit (FAAB) by Ms. Lynda Borromeo.

As this year’s advocacy is in support of the Autism Hearts Foundation and the Fashion Arts Autism Benefit (FAAB), designer Anthony Legarda showcased formalwear using hand-painted piña fabric created by young people with autism.

The event then featured a performance by UB Voices wherein beneficiaries of the Autism Hearts Foundation distributed hand-crafted giveaways to the guests.

Lastly, the moment that everyone waited for has officially arrived —the tree lighting ceremony. In a ceremonial lighting led by Baguio City Mayor Maurio G. Domogan, Congressman Mark Go, and other Baguio City executives and officials, The Manor’s facade and garden were lit up in a mix of bright lights as the light-show commences and ends with a projection mapping at the Christmas tree.

Want to see the holiday extravaganza but missed out on the tree lighting ceremony? You’re in luck because for the entire month of December, The Manor at Camp John Hay will have their daily light show at around 5 to 6 pm.

How to get there:

The Manor at Camp John Hay is located at Loakan Road, Baguio City, Philippines.
