5 Best Spots For Stargazing This Coming Summer

Imagine swimming in a deafening silence that touches your soul to the core, quieting every worry, doubt, and recurring fear. Imagine all that, under a billion of stars, like diamonds in graceful ripples right before your eyes, and right now, all you can do is surrender to the stillness that the great outdoors freely give; a breather, for sure.

Ready yourselves, as we delve onto exhilarating experiences in these unrivalled Philippine destinations, perfect for a journey under the cosmos.

Batanes Island, Batanes

Raw and unspoiled, that’s how Batanes is painted every single time a soul visits its islands and what better way to see the cosmos but in a quaint town with light sources fewer than its inhabitants.

Mt. Pulag National Park, Benguet

Don’t be discouraged by the growing eagerness after that 10-hour trip from Manila and another 3-4 hours of hike to Mt. Pulag’s crisp mountain aroma. Surely, at 2,922 MASL (meters above sea level), none could be more of an dyllic site to taste and see the wonders that are a couple of light years away.

Nagsasa Cove, Zambales

One of the well-known coves in Zambales, Nagsasa Cove secures a top spot in this list. The wearing 2-hour boat ride from the town of Pundaquit will evaporate from your memory once you lie down by its quiet shores, delighting in the stillness of heavenly bodies lulling you to sleep.

Pundaquit, Zambales

Save yourself the butt-numbing boat rides and opt to stay at this fishing village in Zambales. Pundaquit offers a few homestays in their coastal community and at night, enjoy a drink or two with locals while revelling under a billion of stars.

Tinalisayan Island, Masbate

With its stunning velvety-ivory sandbar and shores, you can just imagine how picturesque dusks in this island could be. Now, hold on to that thought and instead of a sunset painted on the background, imagine, the milky way galaxy in a pirouette - utopia!

Apologies for not having night photography at this paradise, I hope this will suffice ;)
