Masungi Georeserve is a park and nature reserve located in Baras, Rizal. It was opened to visitors last December 2015, complete with numerous beautiful trails, allowing you to explore the whole georeserve.
In regards to its name, the word "masungi" is derived from the native word "masungkit" due to the edgy rock formations that dot the reserve.
Exploring the Masungi georeserve is easy due to pathways created by the management, each with its own unique Filipino name that wittily describes it. You will pass by the Lambat, Sapot, big Duyan, and many others. One can easily imagine how these fixtures will look like. However, there are also hanging bridges, as well as winding trails, aptly named bayawak and sawa. To witness how easy and perfect the place is, watch the video above.
The trail of Masungi is perfect for people who want to explore nature and see the beauty of it. The good thing about this place is that they preserve the rocks, and the forest. When you visit Masungi Georeserve, you help preserve the georeserve as we are given a tree to plant in the area.
Visit Masungi Georeserve to enjoy and witness how we can enjoy and take advantage of nature without destroying it.
