Want a “taste” of what we’re talking about? Here are 5 places in Bacolod where you’ll definitely find people smiling all day long—and for what reason? Food, of course!


Sharyn’s Cansi House

Sharyn’s serves one of the best cansi in Bacolod. For those who aren’t familiar with cansi, it’s soup with beef chunks and bone marrow, soured by locally-sourced Batwan—it’s an absolute MUST when visiting Bacolod!

Must-try: Cansi, Crispy Cansi, Kinilaw na Tangigue

Ading’s Pala-Pala

Another popular choice among tourists is Ading’s Pala-Pala. It’s a dampa-style restaurant where customers get to choose from a wide variety of fresh seafood and have it cooked according to their liking! Oh, and before we forget, they are now offering eat-all-you-can for lunch and dinner! 

Must-try: Surf and Turf (Shrimp and Steak), Grilled Squid

Calea Pastries & Coffee

Now, here’s one for your sweet tooth. If you’re dying to taste something sweet, Calea is the place to be! They offer the best cakes in town—it truly is a sweet treat for locals and tourists alike!  

Must-try: Chocolate Cake, White Chocolate Cheesecake with Raspberry Sauce

Trap Door Tasting Room

Your worries might *magically* disappear when you enter the Trap Door Tasting Room. Owned by 6 friends, this speakeasy-style pub serves Illusion Brewery’s quality craft beers, plus a unique bar experience like no other! In fact, the experience starts in finding its door. And when you finally get in? Well, that’s for you to see (and experience!) in person!

Must-try: Snow Storm Candied Bacon Stout, Pale Ale, Cream of Smiles Cream Ale

Aida’s Manokan

No trip to Bacolod is ever complete without trying their famous chicken inasal—you’ll see it almost everywhere, but no one does it better than Aida’s! Located in the Manokan Country, Aida’s Chicken Inasal is best paired with the crowd favorite garlic rice and soy sauce plus calamansi!
