It's been a few months since the whole world re-discovered the beauty of the Philippines. However, up until now, it seems as if the Philippines is still in everyone's radar, especially with intrepid tourists looking to expand their horizons in Southeast Asia. In the Western world, it's as if wherever you look, there's a little bit of the Philippines there: from the food, to the people, and to advertisements showcasing how grand it would be to visit the Philippines.
But speaking of grand, our beautiful country, composed of over 7,000 islands, has—yet again—taken the top spot for having one of the best and most beautiful islands in the world, according to renowned online publication Travel + Leisure.
The publication had given individual scores on ten islands, based on votes that came from both the staff and from readers. It comes as no surprise that Palawan took the top spot again, being described by T+L as “rustic,” “romantic,” “affordable,” and “relaxing" by the readers. The magazine even described one fan's sentiments towards the island, saying, “It’s the single most beautiful place on earth.” Truthfully, we can't help but agree.
Unsurprisingly, even Boracay was part of T+L's list, taking up the third spot. Other destinations that came close to dethroning Palawan include Hilton Head Island of South Carolina, Santorini of Greece, and Hvar and the Dalmatian Islands of Croatia.
Right now, though, it seems as if nothing will ever beat Palawan in terms of beauty and charm! What's your favorite beach in the Philippines? Come write about it on www.ChoosePhilippines.com!
