The Philippines is blessed with a multitude of natural bounties and resources. In fact, one of the things most notable about the country is the sheer number of beautiful beaches we have.
However, more often than not, the beaches, in spite of their charm, overshadow the other naturally beautiful places the country has to offer, like the many waterfalls, mountains, valleys, and everything else that the Philippines houses within its borders. One stark example is a mountain range in Dalaguete, Cebu, near the southern part of the province. What makes this mountain range truly special is the fact that you can actually scale all of its five peaks within a day. It’s a small mountain compared to other Philippine mountains, and is a favorite among both local and foreign mountaineers, affectionately referred to as the “5-in-1 Dalaguete Trek.”
The five peaks are as follows, and you can scale them in any order you wish:
Casino Peak (photo that looks similar to the Chocolate Hills in Bohol)
Kandungaw Peak (photos with a steep rocky peak)
Special thanks to John Chris Bayhonan for providing the photos from his recent trek. Check out his photos in the gallery above, and make sure to follow him on Instagram via @life_ni_juan.
