Maui Sanvictores | Apr 03, 2017

When in Coron, the usual go-to places are magnificent lakes, lagoons, and islands. Where else should you go if some areas can get crowded by tourists flocking to the island?

But if you’re like us, always on the look-out for something unusual, off-grid, and rather, shying away from the touristy-vibe, you’ll be surprised at at the hidden gems found in Coron.

Situated on the west of the Busuanga Island, one can visit Concepcion Falls via habal-habal which will only take about 30 minutes to an hour to reach the town proper. Some locals and foreigners visit the falls but it's a very rare occasion that it gets so crowded.

It is quite a change of scenery from the blazing blues of the Calamian Group of Islands with the trails leading up to the waterfalls, flaunting forest greens and offering crisp mountain air.
