Blessed with an ample source of water, the town is also known for its natural attractions such as springs and a number of waterfalls.
One of the waterfalls that has become an attraction is Bugsok Falls. Also known as the Bugsok Twin Falls, it is located about 13 kilometers from the Poblacion in an off-the-beaten path of Barangay Banban.
You can ride a habal-habal (motorcycle) from the center of the municipality to get to the location of the falls.
About 300 meters going to the Bugsok Falls is still undeveloped so if you opt not to ride the habal-habal, you can trek through the sugarcane/rice/root-crop fields and enjoy the scenic landscapes.
From this point, about 5 meters near the area, you will hear the flowing water and see the falls from above.
Walk carefully, it’s a sloping ground downhill going to the majestic Bugsok Falls.
- Wear the right shoes or sandals. Rubber slippers are not advisable especially if the road is wet; it gets slippery due to the mud.
- Bring your own snacks and drinking water. There are no stores when you reach the waterfalls.
- Respect mother nature and the community. Bring your trash with you to keep the area clean.
