Who doesn’t like the sight of flowers? I don’t know anyone but I am sure that the majority of us loves them.

We give flowers to our special someone for any occasion or to show our appreciation. Flowers are also used as decorations for it gives a homey feel to the room. Not only that, it add colors to a blunt area and gives an extra beautiful scent.

There are many flower farms and gardens in Cebu that is open to the public. Here are some of the spots in no particular order:

1. 10,000 Roses Cafe

Yes these are not real flowers but these Korean-owned cafe located at Day-as, Cordova, Cebu has drawn a lot of visitors because of its 10,000 LED white roses.

The cafe is open daily between 10:30am to 11:00pm. Best time to visit is during sunset. It has a view of the ocean while sipping on your drink at the roof deck.

2. Betty’s Botanical Garden

Located at the Cantipla II area, the botanical garden is just an hour away from the heart of the city. The garden is home to thousands of million-flower plants, different varieties of floral plants, fruits and vegetables such as calla lilies, orchids, roses, bell peppers, tomatoes, chilies, Malaysian guavas and grapes.

3. Buwakan ni Alejandra

The 700sqm garden is located in Sitio Bunga, Barangay Gaas, Balamban. You can enjoy over 200 species of local blooms. Entrance and environmental fees are:

  • Regular - Php55.00
  • Children ages 6-10 - Php25.00
  • Senior Citizen with ID - Php30.00
  • PWD - Php30.00

The garden is open daily between 7:00am to 5:00pm except during storms or very bad weather to protect the flowers. For inquiries and transportation arrangements, contact 09087689379.

4. Ka-tilong Sunflower Farm

Located in Sitio Cantipla 1, Barangay Tabunan, the 2000sqm farm just officially opened last August 18, 2018. The entrance fee are:

  • Regular - Php30.00
  • Child - Php15.00

The sunflower farm is open daily between 8:00am to 6:00pm.

4. Sirao Garden

Known as the “Little Amsterdam” of Cebu due to the colorful fiery celosia flower field with the view of the mountain as backdrop just like the tulips fields in Netherlands. The garden is located at Canada Drive, Barangay Sirao.

It is open daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm. For inquiries, contact 09437063437.

5. Terrazas de Flores

What’s unique about this botanical garden? The flowers and plants of about 127 species are arranged in terraces that sit atop a mountain slope. It is located at Sitio Tiguib, Barangay Malubog, Cebu City.

Enjoy a the beautiful view of the flower terrace while relaxing at the cafe with a cup of warm drink and good food. It is open daily at 8:00am to 9:00pm. For inquiries, contact 09176534227.


How to Get There

From Manila, you can fly to Cebu (estimated cost of Php3,500++, round trip, 45 minutes). And from the Cebu Airport, you will need to hire a cab to go to the city proper or to your destination (bus terminal).
