Ikaw Ang Sunshine Ko: A Tribute To Pinoys Who Bring Sunshine To Our Lives

Choose Philippines | Apr 17, 2017

More than the 7,107 beautiful islands in the Philippines, it is the warm and welcoming smiles of Filipinos that shine the most throughout any given season— a theme evident in the 2017 Summer Station ID of ABS-CBN.

A smile is a symbol of hope and new beginnings for many of our kababayans, much like the guitar-playing nun, the colorful vendor selling water on the street, and the elderly man serenading pedestrians with his bamboo flute.

The Station ID featured the brightest Kapamilya stars and inspiring stories of Filipinos that serve as reminder of the million reasons why we should continue to wear that sunshiny smile, especially during difficult times.

The video was shot in different locations in the country: Lapu-Lapu Monument, Divisoria, Baclaran, Quezon City, Lake Pandin in Laguna, Laoag in Ilocos Norte, Pililla in Rizal, and Cebu, to name a few.

Faithful to its commitment of being "in the service of the Filipino," the of ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs conducted a Kapamilya Caravan in Pateros, Cavite, and Zamboanga City, as showed in the video.

Watch the video above and sing along with the newest anthem of your summer, "Ikaw Ang Sunshine Ko, Isang Pamilya Tayo."
