Island Hopping Adventures, Philippines (iHAP) is an organization that aims to showcase the best of the Philippines islands and, at the same time, make sure that tourism benefits the community by supporting local enterprises and raising awareness on some environmental issues.
Before flying to the Philippines, the group conducted a drive dubbed as "Toy for Totoy" in California, USA, wherein they collected educational materials and toys to be given to the children in Tim Tebow Cure Hospital in Davao City.
Named after the American football quarterback, Tim Tebow, whose foundation has donated generously to the hospital, offers pediatric care for children with bone deformities and conditions that can be cured.
IHAPers visited the children's ward to hand out gifts, sing Christmas carols, and spread the good cheer.
It was an indescribable feeling to see the children smile. But the group's small act of kindness doesn't stop here, they promise to continue touring the Philippines and make a difference.
