Christmas is definitely in Jose Mari Chan's heart all year long, as the popular singer-songwriter extended aid to the low-income families in Tigaon, Camarines Sur, mostly from Agta Tabangnon Indigenous People’s group in the said town.

Carmen Dapilos, President of Hansel and Gretel Foundation, shared that last 31 March 2020, the singer-songwriter called to check on her. She could not contain but share the plight of the families in her town. “Two hours after I got a call from a very good friend, Jose Mari Chan, wishing me the usual greetings to be safe and careful. In return, I told him how the situation here with my neighborhood," shares Carmen. Much to her surprise, Jose Mari Chan responded positively and immediately pledged his help to these needy families.“He responded at once, asking how he could be of help and telling me that I should not hesitate to ask. I asked for rice and he provided," she says.
