American Tries Countless Philippine Adventures

Geng Giminski, a Chinese-Thai national, has fallen in love with the beauty of the Pearl of the Orient, the Philippines. The health and fitness enthusiast has been to 32 countries where he unleashed his adventurous side.

Upon the invitation of friends from a small tour group, Island Hopping Adventure Philippines (iHAP), he grabbed the chance to explore the Philippines for the second time.  He first set foot on the country when he was in his teens and enjoyed the white sand beaches of Puerto Galera

This time, he relived history by touring inside the walls of Intramuros, the MacArthur suite at the Manila Hotel and the stunning sunset of Manila as he cruised along its bay. Being familiarly known to his friends as an adventurer, he didn't miss the chance to also try flying on a trapeze.

A day after staying in Manila, he travelled with iHAP to Mindanao for a week of having fun where he tried a lot of thrilling activities: getting up close with the giant clams in Samal, snorkeling and swimming in Talicud Island, climbing the tiers of Tinuy-an Falls, swimming in the cool waters of the Enchanted River of Hinatuan, scuba diving with the jellyfish in Sohoton, and surfing in Siargao.

Geng's adventures did not end there. His next stop was in Oslob, Cebu where he swam with whalesharks and a vortex of sardines. He also tried ultimate adventures such as canyoneering and chasing waterfalls.

Dubbed as one of the best islands in the country and in the world, El Nido, Palawan was also ticked off Geng's bucketlist. He had a very memorable adventure as he zipped from one island to another in Palawan and dipped in its lagoons.

He visited Clark in Pampanga to ride the ultralight and fire in a shooting range. What Geng likes most about the Philippines aside from the beautiful sights and adventures, is the warm welcome and hospitality of the Filipinos.

“I love the Philippines and the people there. There's so much to experience. People are friendly and fun. I could live a lifetime of adventures there."
