Every year, Negrense artist Bamboo Tonogbanua opens his Christmas Village to the public. And there’s always something new or added to his collection.

For more than 2 decades, the miniature Christmas Village has already become a yearly attraction for both locals and tourists.

Bamboo’s first miniature Christmas Village was built in 1996 when he started collecting small Christmas pieces bought during his travels and gifts received from friends and relatives. He uses these small objects and figures to create a diorama.

What’s new in his 2018 collection? Bamboo’s Christmas Village expanded his diorama with scenes from Disney’s magical hits!

As a Disney fanatic, he added Frozen featuring the characters of Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, Hans and Sven.

And, Beauty & the Beast with a wilting rose and broken mirror. As well as the fairytale princesses reunion featuring Princess Aurora of Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Pocahontas, Rapunzel and Snow White among others.

Bamboo never tires to open his Christmas Village come Christmas season. According to him, he does it most especially for the kids and he enjoys seeing the sparkling eyes of children looking at the miniature pieces.
