The ‘center’ of the center of marine biodiversity a.k.a. the Philippines, with its 7,641 islands, it’s simply given that underwater the archipelago is another world of vibrant marine life.

Be immersed in an other-worldly realm as we explore these top 5 dive sites around the Philippines.

Apo Island, Negros Oriental

A volcanic island that is southeast off-coast the province of Negros Oriental, Apo Island, better known as a ‘marine sanctuary’ for sea turtles, is on top of the list for everyone who fancies treading in the waters with these creatures.

Apo Reef, Occidental Mindoro

One of the top ecotourism destinations in Philippines, Apo is a coral reef system located west off-coast Occidental Mindoro. People have planned their long weekend trips on this paradise for solely diving and dancing with the rather elusive marine creatures in the country— manta rays and white tip sharks.

Malapascua, Cebu

In the northern tip of Cebu Island in the Central Visayas region, one can enjoy the utopian tropical seas with ivory-sand beaches and a throng of marine creatures. Perhaps, it is safe to say that Malapascua is one diver’s haven in the Philippines. Expect to see thresher sharks lingering around the area before the crack of dawn.
