LOOK: Brightest Electric Lights Shine in MassKara Land 2015

Electric MassKara is just one of the highlights of the MassKara Festival celebration of Bacolod City. The 2-day event was held last October 17 and 18 at the Lacson Tourism Strip.

The Electric MassKara float parade and dance-off contestants were participated by different groups coming from private corporations and barangays. The participants may either join as a competing or non-competing group. Each barangay was given a total of PhP 75,000 as financial assistance for the participants of Electric MassKara Float and Dance-Off competitions.

Prizes to be given to the winners:

  • Second Runner-up – Php75,000
  • First Runner-up – Php100,000
  • Electric Grand Winner – Php150,000

The floats were all well-lighted and designed according to this year’s theme. Part of the mechanics that floats should be strong enough to endure the rain and other elements.

In the Dance-offs, each group was composed of 8-15 electric MassKara dancers. Costumes must be mostly lighted, expressing a MassKara vibe and dancers must always put on a big smile on their face.
