, Negros Occidental
Belle Piccio | Oct 29, 2015
Electric MassKara is just one of the highlights of the MassKara Festival celebration of Bacolod City. The 2-day event was held last October 17 and 18 at the Lacson Tourism Strip.
The Electric MassKara float parade and dance-off contestants were participated by different groups coming from private corporations and barangays. The participants may either join as a competing or non-competing group. Each barangay was given a total of PhP 75,000 as financial assistance for the participants of Electric MassKara Float and Dance-Off competitions.
Prizes to be given to the winners:
- Second Runner-up – Php75,000
- First Runner-up – Php100,000
- Electric Grand Winner – Php150,000
The floats were all well-lighted and designed according to this year’s theme. Part of the mechanics that floats should be strong enough to endure the rain and other elements.
In the Dance-offs, each group was composed of 8-15 electric MassKara dancers. Costumes must be mostly lighted, expressing a MassKara vibe and dancers must always put on a big smile on their face.
The 2015 Electric MassKara Winners:
- Third Place - Barangay 28
- Second Place - Barangay 10
- Champion - Barangay 18
Barangay 10 was first runner-up while Barangay 18 was also the champion of last year's Electric MassKara taking home Php100,000 and Php150,000 prize respectively.
Kasadya Bacolod Foundation Inc. would like to thank everyone for making MassKara Festival a memorable and meaningful celebration.
