The tear-shaped island of Siargao’s Cloud 9 has always been a favorite venue for national and international surfing cups because of its signature waves.  Aside from Cloud 9, it has 9 other swells that allow for thrilling rides.

This year, the National Surfing Cup will be on September 23-27, and the International Surfing Cup will immediately follow on September 28- October 4, 2018.

Our local surfers will be giving the international competitors a run for the waves not just at sea but on the road.

Expect these names to be on the list of top surfers: Piso Alcala, John Mark Tokong, Sonny Boy Aporbo, and Nilbie Blancada.

In November 18-24, 2018, surfers will again meet to compete in Surigao del Sur’s Lanuza

When you want to be challenged by the waves and enjoy the thrill of the ride, checkout these Mindanao surfing spots. Directions on how to get there are on the links.
