Whenever we think of having a night out, Poblacion is one of the places that comes to mind. Not only does it offer awesome restaurants and trendy cafes, it is also home to some of the best pubs and bars. Now that it has become the newest nightlife district, Poblacion continues to live up to its reputation for being the perfect hotspot for drinking, especially with the latest bar to open in the neighborhood!
From its aesthetically pleasing interior designs to its loud electrifying dance music, everyone who enters Verde’s doors will surely have a great time. This concept bar is ingeniously designed by Heineken, who believes great moments of shared experiences are the best in life, which is what they hope to achieve with Verde.
“Poblacion has always served as the hippest backdrop for some of the coolest events in Manila, so when we were presented with the opportunity to partner with Nicole and Jonathan Thorp to co-brand a bar, we knew that this is also a great chance to bring Heineken’s world-class experiences to Filipinos. This is where cultural trends are being birthed and this is where we want to strengthen our community,” says Christian Aguilar, group marketing manager of Heineken Philippines.
Although Poblacion started as the notorious “red light” district in the sleepy neighborhood of Makati, it has now been made better thanks to young entrepreneurs, innovative restaurateurs, passionate artists, and businesses like Verde who has made this place the iconic community it is today and like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Poblacion found its new purpose.
“Beaming with green lights from its façade to the interior light fixtures, Verde is a standout in a seemingly uniformed look of most bars in Poblacion,” says Nicole Thorp, co-owner of Verde. “The ethos of Verde is to seamlessly merge culture, music, and creativity, without losing any important elements of a contemporary bar," she adds.
