Celebrating the life and light of Bicolanos, the Daragang Magayon Festival builds up the excitement for the locals and the tourists alike. The month-long festivities will showcase the beauty and the talents of Albay province.
With attractions such as the Parade of the Higantes (Giants), a festival showdown of all the winning street dancers from other Bicol festivals, the Mutya ng Daragang Magayon pageant, and so much more, the festival promises fun and culture at the same time.
Albay is considered a tourism giant in Luzon, and to prove that, the festival will also highlight the numerous activities that travelers can do all over the province. Outdoor activities that will be featured in the festival are whale shark (butanding) interaction, a 360-run around Mayon, ATV adventure rides, and mountain climbing.
Of course, the food should never be ignored. The Culinaria Albay will showcase the best culinary experiences that the land offers.
The festivities will be held at the heart of Albay, a place that offers the stunning view of the world-famous Mayon Volcano. With beauty all around, everyone's sure to be in the right mood for this aptly named festival.
