Have Fun With The Dapitanons at the Kinabayo Festival This July

Dapitan is not just the place of exile of the Philippine National hero, Jose Rizal. It is also a place for going back to history as it celebrates its Kinabayo Festival which has mock battles of the different Spanish-Moorish Wars. It also gives honor to its patron saint, Saint James The Greater.
This is one festival where the devotees of Saint James the Greater flock to the streets and the whole procession would be a frenzy of dancing, waving of hands, and singing. It would bring goosebumps to the spectator.
This year, the celebration would have a new activity--- the fluvial parade from Dipolog City to Dapitan City. It is the first time that the twin cities have signed an agreement to hold the parade.
Here is the schedule of events for Kinabayo 2018.
How to Get there:
Major airlines (PAL and CebPac) fly daily to Dipolog City from Manila and from Cebu (CebPac).
Dapitan is just 30 minutes away from the Dipolog airport. Ride a tricycle from the airport to Dipolog bus terminal and then take the bus to Dapitan.
Tricycles ply the streets of Dapitan to get you from one point to another
