From August 11-18, hundreds of performers from nine (9) countries gathered in City of Koronadalin South Cotabato for Pyesta Kolon Datal International Folklore Festival 2018.

Thousands of spectators, locals and visitors, flocked the main streets in Koronadal on Saturday, August 11 as the week-long event formally opened with a street dancing participated by the 14 delegations coming from Romania, Republic of Estonia, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Caribbean Islands, Tahiti and the five (5) performing groups from different parts of the Philippines namely UP Dance Company (Quezon City), ECD Dance Company (Iloilo City), MSU Sining Kambayoka Ensemble (Marawi City), BSU Binunyawan Folkloric Troupe (Bukidnon), and Hinugyaw Cultural Dance Troupe (City of Koronadal).

In their colorful and unique costumes, participating groups showcased their culture and arts through dances, songs and music. They performed in different venues in Koronadal City and its neighboring town and cities. Each group also conducted lecture demos for the locals, cultural villages tours and visit tourist destinations.
