Yummy Heart Beat

Tibok tibok, which literally means heartbeat, is one of the yummiest Filipino delicacies. It derives its name from the way it is cooked when bubbles of the pudding start to pulsate up and down, just like that of a beating heart.

Originating from Pampanga, the kapampangan recipe of the tibok tibok is traditionally made from pure carabao’s milk. Using gatas ning damulag (carabao’s milk) gives that unique saltiness and rich creamy texture compared of that of regular cow’s milk. Coconut milk can also be used as an alternative.

Dayap and latik (toasted coconut meat) completes the recipe of this delicious dessert!
