In this report by Winnie Cordero (ABS-CBN News), three young entrepreneurs share their tips and success stories in opening their respective cake businesses.
Jonathan and Monica Em own "Baker's Table," a cake shop which specializes in candy-inspired pastries. When asked about their business secret, Monica shares "Siguro yung marunong kang makisama sa tao. 'Yung pagpasok ng tao hindi lang 'yan dahil sa masarap siya..."
Remilly Co of "Remilly's Yema Cake" took short courses in baking.
After three months of training, she now has four bake shops. "Mahalaga, mahal mo 'yung ginagawa mo. Kasi once na mahal mo 'yung ginagawa mo, magre-reflect do'n sa product na gagawin mo," Remilly reveals.
Self-taught baker Shella Callejo gathered recipes and her baking skills from the internet and social networking sites. That's proof that you can also start your own business this Christmas!
