One of Davao City’s oldest subdivisions, Lanzona, now has Kusina sa Subli that offers dishes that would make you want to dine there again and again.  Aside from feasting on good food, you might want to have a friendly game of billiards or rounds of videoke in their function rooms.

Here are the recommended dishes to sample like their appetizer jalapeño dynamite.  For the main dish, order tuna tail pakfry and bulalo steak with paella negra. Saging con hielo is a must-try for dessert.

The jalapeño dynamite has a bite but does not overwhelm the taste buds for the other dishes that follow.

General Santos City may be the country's tuna capital, but Davao is famous for its tuna tail pakfry. This tuna dish can be cooked with garlic, ginger, water and vinegar before deep frying.

The bulalo steak is moist and has tender chunks of meat that detach easily from the bone. The mushroom-based gravy that is served with the steak is the perfect combination for the meat.

If you order the paella negra, you do not have to order plain rice to go with the viands.

What is unique about Subli’s paella negra is that the tender slices of squid are the only ingredient.  With other paellas, you have chunks of fish, crabs, shrimps and shells.

Cap your meal with a refreshing dessert saging con hielo. At Kusina sa Subli, you will enjoy dining and having fun all in one place.

How To Get There:
Major airlines fly daily to Davao City from Manila and Cebu. Kusina sa Subli is located at Subli Street, Lanzona Subdivision, Matina, Davao City.
