Baguio is always a good idea— whether you go during summer to make your nights a little bit cooler, or you visit during the Ber months, when the air is cool and crisp even during the daytime.
The holidays are always made more festive when you visit the city of pines. There are many events and offerings to those who choose to spend Christmas up in the mountains.
If you are planning a trip to Baguio anytime soon, there are a few places you should try aside from the classics like Mario’s, Forest Hill, or Mile Hi Diner. So many new places are making their way into the mainstream and we’ve rounded up a few for you!

The newest bar on the block is formally launching soon and people of the North should be very excited! From the same group who owns Baguio Craft Brewery comes this collaboration with Casa Marcos to offer superb tapas x craft beer pairings.
Craft 1945 also has other small-batch beers on tap that you gotta try like the Lagud (strawberry flavor), Key Wheat (kiwi), and the Pugaw.

Order the staple comfort food such as hakaw, pork & shrimp siomai, as well as crab and corn soup to start. The Peking Chicken is a nice deviation from the more popular Peking Duck.
Their lumpiang shanghai is a must try!
And what lauriat is complete without a sweet & sour dish.
Manduto Cafe and Restaurant
Asin Purok road Pinewoods Golf Club Baguio City, Baguio, 2600 Benguet
This resto sits inside the Pinewoods Golf and Country Club, located along Asin Road (on the way to the BenCab Museum). What sets Manduto apart is its amazing ambience, with the view of the golf course and the gentle fog that rolls in every afternoon.
Their specialties rest on their Filipino taste and some of their popular dishes are kare-kare, crispy sinigang (a unique take on the broth-based comfort food), and of course, bagnet.
For a sweet note, you should also take a bite off their sansrival!
Although it’s a golf club, they are open to non-members as well, so you can come freely as often as your tastebuds would like.
Unit 108, Puso ng Baguio Bldg, Porta Vaga Mall, Session Rd, Baguio, 2600 Benguet
When you say ‘Baguio’, people think ‘strawberries’ and rightfully so because they have sweet varieties up here. And if you’re looking to experience different strawberry treats (like the strawberry taho and the strawberry shawarma, yes there is such a thing!), you might want to put the strawberry shortcake of Vizco’s on your list!
The strawberries balance out the sweetness and the tartness of this dessert which makes it perfect.

This cafe is just Insta-perfect! All the nooks and crannies have character, and if you’re creative enough, you’ll probably find new ways to take pictures in the cozy interiors and quirky exteriors of this place.
