St. Vincent Ferrer Chapel: The Church of the Angel of Healing

St. Vincent Ferrer is known to the Catholics as a confessor and the “Angel of Healing” because of his gift to cure the sick. He is also the patron saint of fishermen and builders. 

 

In honor of St. Vincent Ferrer, a 3-storey chapel was built and named after him in Talisay City, Negros Occidental

According to the Parish Pastoral Council President Isidro Sullivan, the chapel was built with the help of the priests under the Order of Augustinian Recollects.

Inside the chapel you can find the relic of St. Vincent Ferrer which came all the way from Spain. St. Vincent Ferrer’s Feast day is every April 5.

St. Vincent Ferrer Chapel was inaugurated last December 12, 2015. The chapel is located at Ramon Magsaysay St, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

The chapel is fully air-conditioned which is a perfect venue for sacramental rites such as baptisms and weddings. The venue can accommodate of about 300 persons. For inquiries and reservations, contact the parish at (034) 495-4923.


How to Get There

From Manila, you can fly to Bacolod (Php2500++, round trip, 45 minutes). From Bacolod-Silay Airport, you can take a shuttle (Php75-100 per head), or a cab (minimum of Php400) and ask to be dropped off at your destination.

From Bacolod, you can ride a jeep going to Talisay City at the north terminal.
