Ride the Waves - and the Calesa - at Bagasbas Beach!

Camarines Norte

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing that this is the first and only calesa ride on the beach in the Philippines! You can find this in Bagasbas, a surfing mecca in Daet, Camarines Norte.

(I also think the the horse is also enjoying the water and the cool breeze.)

I love Bagasbas for surfing but this "Carjuahe Ride" took my heart away. And you can see my happiness in this video:

I can imagine myself going back there just to chill and well, maybe tag along a date, too. Hahaha.

Now, is it expensive? NO.

Relaxing? YES.

Romantic? Oh yeah. DEFINITELY.

Pay only Php 100 for a 30-minute ride as you enjoy the unique experience with your (special) friend or family.

Sunset will be sweeter, and for a hopeless romantic like me, this is perfect for a cheesy overload date.

Needless to say, this really made my weekend. We were driving around Daet and proceeded to Bagasbas Beach when I spotted this kalesa from afar. Without any hesitation, I asked the driver to stop so I can go after the carriage.

(Special thanks to Mayor Tito Sarion and to his bubbly son Taichi for being my tour companions!)
