Divinubo is one of the famous islands of Borongan City, Eastern Samar. The island has a long stretch of white sand beach and beautiful coral rock formation.

At Divinubo, you’ll get an amazing view of the sunset while strolling at the beach or swimming in its crystal clear bluish-green waters fronting the Pacific Ocean.

The island is a favorite weekend getaway spot by the locals and tourists. Enjoy a day filled with water activities like boating, scuba diving and snorkeling. You can also check the caves, lighthouse and explore the island.

To experience the simple island life, pitch a tent under the dazzling stars and fall asleep with the relaxing sound of the waves. The islanders also offer a place to stay for those who would like to sleep comfortably overnight. There are lodging facilities for your convenience.

You can support the island’s community by buying the local fishermen’s fresh catch of the day sold at a reasonable price (usually between Php150-180 per kilo) and have it cooked by the Dvinubo Eco Tour Park staff for a minimal fee.

  • Divinubo Island Eco Park entrance tee – Php50 per person
  • Picnic shed – Php100-500
  • Cottage (day use) – Php150
  • Cottage (overnight) – Php200-700 per night
  • Tricycle in the island – Php15 per person or Php80-100 per hire (one way)
  • Island Tour with Guide – Php300
  • Pump boat – Php20 per person or Php300-400 per boat (one way)

How to Get There

From Manila, you can fly to "The Gateway to Eastern Visayas" -- Tacloban (estimated cost Php2,700++, round trip, 1 hour 15 minutes).

From Tacloban City, you can take a mini-bus or air-conditioned shuttle van ride to Borongan City and ask the driver to drop you off at Brgy. Lalawigan (estimated cost Php190 per person, one-way trip, approximately 3.5 hours) where pump boats going to Divinubo Island are docked. Trip schedule of vans going to Borongan is between 5:00am to 5:30pm with 30 minutes interval.

From Brgy. Lalawigan, ride a pump boat to Divinubo Island (Php15 per person, one-way, 15-20 minutes). Trip schedule of the boats is between 9:00am to 3:00pm, the boat leaves as soon as it is full or you can hire the entire boat.
