You are tempted to go down and be lazy at the beach like we did after touring Cateel’s Aliwagwag Falls, doing the zipline, and monkey walk.

Mahoc Beach is a sight of real serenity.  Only a few souls were there when we frolicked in the sea’s waves from the shore.

Different rock formations dot the beach and from a distance you can see what the locals call Treasure Island.  Locals also regard the enchanted island as "tawhan" or a place where the supernaturals live.

Setting that thought aside, we enjoyed the beach as much as we can by playing with the waves, taking photos, and simply basking in the sun.

Drop by Mahoc when you’re in the vicinity and enjoy it for free!

How to get there:
Cateel and Baganga, Davao Oriental is 4 to 5 hours away by land from Davao City.
Major airlines fly daily from Manila and Cebu to Davao City.
