Bantayan Island is one of the best beaches in the country.

An islet found in the northern area of Cebu, it is known for its beautiful beaches with clear blue waters and white powdery sand.

Bantayan Island is home to a string of resorts. You can choose from the most budget-friendly up to the poshest accommodations without haveing to sacrifice the fun and excitement many would associate with this wonderful destination.

Things you can do in this wonderful slice of heaven include:

  • Relax and have a stress-free vacation in this beautiful paradise.
  • Have fun swimming at the beach
  • Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and unwind with the friendly locals.

The island’s restaurants also offer great seafood dishes.

Both the picturesque views of Bantayan Island as well as its vast and rich history and culture are all meant to inspire and awe you. This is where you will find one of the oldest Catholic Churches in the Visayas region: the St. Peter and Paul Parish Church, founded by the Augustinian Missionaries on June 11, 1580.

How to Get There

From the North Terminal, buses are available all day starting at about 5:00am onwards. Buses (2.5-3 hours) depart the city going to the port town of Hagnaya in northern Cebu. From Hagnaya Port, ride a ferry (1 hour 15 minutes) to Santa Fe, Bantayan Island.

Note: Ferry boats run form 5:30am until the last boat leaves Hagnaya at 5:30pm. In order to make it to the last ferry (5:30pm) in Hagnaya Cebu, one must arrive at the Cebu City North Bus Terminal by 1:00pm. Aircon buses run only sporadically from Cebu City while non-aircon buses run all day until its last trip.
