West off-shore of El Nido, one can find a retreat after a short water-tread in between gaps of tremendous and beautiful limestones. The island of Matinloc springs wonderful surprises including a beach inside what appears to be an entrance to a cave.

The Secret Beach, among the many attractions in El Nido, is one to be remembered, especially with its mini rock pools found along the way when approaching its sandy shores.

How to get there:

  • Take a flight bound to Puerto Princesa where you can hop on a van that will take you up north to El Nido for about 3 hours.
  • Several tour companies are scattered in El Nido’s town proper, offering a set of destinations for the day. The Secret Beach is usually part of the Tour ‘C’ along with Helicopter Island, Hidden Beach, and Star Beach.

Nearby locations:

There are several ways to get started with your ultimate Palawan Adventure. You can opt to fly from Manila to Coron, thereafter, ride a ferry that will zip over to El Nido. Another option would be spending a day or two exploring Puerto Princesa then hop on a van that will traverse through highways to El Nido.
