A Pinoy favorite is given a new twist in a restaurant at San Pablo City, Laguna. Owned by Mang Ben, thus the name "Ben's Halo-halo Ice Cream," it offers guests the first spicy haluhalo ice cream in the Philippines for only 50 pesos!

It's packed with the usual: banana, langka, buko, beans, ube, and leche flan. But instead of shaved ice, the creamy goodness is all thanks to the gelato ice cream that fills the tall glass to the brim. Mang Ben learned about making the gelato while he was working in Italy. Two pieces of red chili — siling-haba — are then placed on top to give that extra kick.

How's that for a play on hot and cold?

Some of the customers comments are: "Creamy. It's really good." and "Two thumbs up!"

Confused about whether to order hamburger or spaghetti? This answers your dilemma!

Another unique dish served at Mang Ben's is the burghetti — a combination of hamburger and spaghetti. The two-dish concoction is made of bread, dressing lettuce, two pieces of patty, pasta, and Italian sauce.
