Timelapse: Batanes from Sunrise to Sunset

Images of verdant rolling hills, grazing cows, the vast blue ocean, and cogon-roofed stone houses have been the subject of dreams for many, including us. But Batanes' distance from the rest of the Philippines and extreme weather conditions meant that flights were pricey and irregular. Batanes had only been a dream for us until a few weeks ago, when everything fell into place at the wake of typhoon Odette. We were welcomed by sunny mornings and cool evenings, met genuinely hospitable Ivatans, and saw nature's majesty even after the strongest storm to hit the province in more than 20 years. This is our homage to Batanes, this beautiful, beautiful place.
