1. Get a Glimpse of Taal Volcano

One’s visit to Tagaytay is never complete without catching a glimpse of Taal Volcano. Although the crater lake is easily seen while driving along Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Highway, you’ll appreciate the view better if you stop by the establishments along the lake and take some photos.

View from Taal Vista Hotel

They say that the best photo spot is from the balcony of Taal Vista Hotel, but you’d have to either pay a parking fee of P250 or have your receipt validated by purchasing something from the hotel. The view from The Cliffhouse area is pretty much the same, but the parking fee is cheaper and there are more food choices.

You might also want to try Josephine’s restaurant or the Bag of Beans branch near the rotunda to get an unobstructed view of Taal Lake.

2. Visit the Pink Sisters' Convent

If you’re traveling with your folks, they might appreciate a quick visit to the Pink Sisters’ Convent, located close to the rotunda (directions).

3. Try Kapeng Alamid or Civet Cat Coffee

Civet cat coffee, also known as kapeng alamid or kopi luwak, was popularized by the movie The Bucket List. Tagaytay City is one of the few places where this is sold and you can have your own taste in Bag of Beans branches in the area.

Bag of Beans also sells other coffee varieties at cheaper prices than those found in Metro Manila.

They also have a breakfast and brunch buffet from Fridays to Sundays.
