Where Do Broken Hearts Go?

In times of heartbreak, travel can sometimes become the most comforting thing to do to help you move on. Exploring some place new or simply rediscovering a favorite haunt can also ease the pain of those difficult moments. Here are some easy places to visit that can (hopefully) help get your started on this fresh chapter in your life.
Appreciate the Free Museums in Manila
Chances are you’ve already been to places like the National Museum or the Metropolitan Museum of Manila more than a few times already, but we think it’s a safe bet that you haven’t checked out the newly opened National Museum of Natural History which is along the same area. After opening to the public (for free!) last May, the museum boasts of impressive galleries and exhibits, all inside a building with equally impressive architecture. Another less known but equally interesting attraction is the Museum of Jose Rizal located inside Fort Santiago which features the story of the last days in the life of our national hero.
Visit the Walled City
Maybe you need to take a trip back in time, not to remember your recent love life, but to give yourself a glimpse of the what was once the golden age of Manila. Whether you stroll along its cobblestone streets or decide to take a bamboo bike tour around the complex, Intramuros can always give you a different side to its history every time. Moreover, with all the charming restaurants and curio shops at every corner, you would surely feel like you’re already on a trip outside Metro Manila.
Head to Baguio/Baler/Banaue
Sometimes a fresh, new scenery is soothing for someone who wants to get away from it all, even if just for a few days. Although these places require travel time outside the city, the surge of new premiere and deluxe bus options from companies like Genesis and Victory Liner make traveling easy and stress-free to these destinations. You can even book and reserve seats online! Take in the fresh mountain air in Sagada, enjoy the chilly weather at the city of Pines, or let the waves relax you in Baler. You can’t use inconvenience as an excuse getting to these places when it’s even easier to do so than commuting home via EDSA during rush hour traffic.
Having a broken heart doesn’t mean you have to look like a lost soul whether you are traveling in or outside the city. You don’t even have to put a lot of effort into looking great with this month’s Revlon deal which pairs a Super Lustrous lipstick with any Eyeliner / Liquid Liner for just P650.
Looking good on the outside can help you boost what you feel inside as well. Plus, who knows who you might bump into along the way!
