Bask in Beauty and Bliss at the Pearl Farm Beach Resort

When one speaks of top tourist destinations in the country, the Pearl Farm Beach Resort will always be mentioned not only for its natural beauty but also for its service.
Who could resist its charm of white sand beach, clean and clear sea water, beautiful architecture, lush greenery, international buffet, and staff who welcome and pamper?
Let Choose Philippines take you on a tour of #BeautifulPearlFarm.
Everything starts the moment you see the iconic Parola and know that the time for bliss and beauty begins. As you dock and walk to the three-tiered parola, you’ll get a panoramic view and a glimpse of what a 14-hectare luxurious hideaway is like.
On your left are the two-storied, Muslim-inspired Samal Suites which have private verandas that would allow you to gaze out on the azure waters while you laze in the couch or lounge or even in bed.
Each suites stairs would lead you to the white sand beach and on to the water for a swim or snorkel.
On your right are the Samal houses on stilts that are directly on the water making the ebb and flow lull you to restfulness. The clear water under your veranda would give you a glimpse of the rich underwater life of corals, fishes, and the colonies of sea urchins which might tempt you to jump in. But this is not allowed. A swimming area is allocated for those who want to be in the sea.
The Pearl Farm is a marine sanctuary and a shipwreck lies beneath the deep blue sea. Divers would have a grand time chasing Nemo and other marine life in its depths.
Walk through the boardwalk from the parola and on your right is the infinity pool which invites you to take a dip. Here you can shake off the grime and tiredness from your busy life while looking at the country’s highest peak, Mt. Apo, the blue water, and the green island of Malipano.
Directly behind the pool is the spacious Maranao Restaurant with its booming Maranao drums (Tabu) and rattan ornament that flows from the ceiling to the floor called the jellyfish.
Refresh with their buko shake or other fruit juices, make your own salad from the salad table, pick your choice of fruits in season, and order from an array of cuisines during lunch and dinner on weekdays. On weekends, it is a foodie haven because breakfast and dinner are buffet.
At the back of the restaurant is the Mandaya Spa. Have a relaxing spa experience to soothe your tired body and soul as licensed therapists massage all those knots away to rejuvenate you.
After the spa, retreat and sleep in bliss in the comfort of your rooms.
Wake up the next day and take a swim at the pool or in the sea in front of the resort or at Malipano Island. Every hour, a boat can take you to Malipano.
At the island, the Malipano Villas are what the stuff of luxurious island accommodations are made of. The exclusive and well-appointed villas give you a view of towering trees on one side and the blue expanse of water and sky on the other side.
Take a walk under coconut trees and other flora, swim, dive, snorkel and then wait for the sunset for it is a sight to behold in Malipano. I was fortunate that I got to witness a wedding at the private Malipano beach as the sun’s golden rays shimmer on the water while the couple made their vows.
As I went back to Pearl Farm, I came to realize that the culture and art of the peoples of the Island of Mindanao is present in the structures and in the interiors of Pearl Farm and Malipano.
The leaf and vine pattern of the Maranao, Maguindanao and Muslim okir is carved on its walls, doors, stairs, and buildings. The use of Mindanao’s woven cloths--- Tinalak, Dagmay, and Yakan are in the bed cover, pillows, headboards, and wall hangings.
Pearl Farm is not just a taste of luxury but a showcase of Mindanao’s rich tapestry of culture, tradition, and art, and a sample of the Mindanaoan’s warm hospitality.
