There are different massages for those with aching bodies and sore muscles, such as the Swedish massage, shiatsu massage, hot stone massage, deep tissue massage, and many others offered at the spa.

But have you tried a snake massage?

You can have this relaxing experience (if you’re not afraid, that is) at a zoo in Cebu where the snakes are the masseurs.

The fee is only as cheap as the zoo entrance of Php25 per adult, and you can now enjoy a 15-minute massage with Burmese pythons.

The snakes, with a total combined weight of about 500lbs, will crawl and slither on top of you. It’s like a very tight hug after a stressful day!

To start your snake massage, you'll lie down flat your back on a bamboo mat. Don’t worry, because the zookeepers will still brief you especially if it’s your first snake massage. The pythons will be taken out of their cages and placed on top of you one by one. The zookeepers will be right by your side to ensure your safety ;)

The Cebu Zoo is located at Sitio Kalubihan, Brgy. Kalunasan, Cebu City, Cebu. You can contact them at (032) 236-8852 for inquiries.

Entrance Fee:

  • Adult – Php25.00
  • Child – Php10.00

The zoo is open from Mondays to Sundays at 8:00am to 5:00pm.

NOTE: Rates may subject to change without prior notice.
