When in Davao: Take Refuge in Buda Vista

BuDa or Bukidnon-Davao Highway weaves itself in and out mountains, ridges and hills of Marilog District in Davao City and the province of Bukidnon.

The highway is a short cut from Davao City to Cagayan de Oro City and tucked along its hills are different resorts offering beautiful views of the surrounding forest.

Buda Vista is a beautiful addition to the beautiful vacation houses in the area. For only PhP 5,000/day, a group composed of 15 persons can be accommodated in the resort.

The reception area from the first floor has large glass windows that let the cool breeze from the mountain enter.

Matresses can be laid down on the second floor of the house for those who want to take a restful sleep. It can get quite cold at night so be prepared to with your layers of clothes, or better yet, bring a comforter.

The dining area, which is found in the lower ground, has billiards table that one can use while waiting for your meals.

Outside the deck is a hammock that can be used by anyone who wants to relax and wait for the fog to show up and cover the place. The resort is already building its pool for guests who want to take a quick dip.

Snuggle up, build a bonfire, and calm your body and mind-- these are the perfect things to do during your stay in the resort.

You may want to check out the falls at Jive or harvest vegetables and strawberries at Bemwa when you’re in BuDa.
